TULSA, Okla. – In the first round of the ITA All-American tournament in Tulsa, Matt Hogan of the University of Arkansas fell to Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan of Washington, 6-2, 7-5.
"It wasn’t Matt’s best, but he competed well," said head coach Robert Cox. "It was a very good match with a very good player from Washington."
Hogan is not done competing, however, as he will play Tuesday in a consolation match of the qualifying draw.
In doubles competition, 37th ranked Nott and Hogan match up against Ugur Atalay and Erik Hanna of George Washington in the first round of the qualifying draw. This match takes place Tuesday.
Nott also plays his first match of the main draw on Thursday.
Opponents for Hogan and Nott will be determined later.
