Hogan finishes with a win

TULSA, Okla. – In the consolation bracket of the ITA All-American tournament in Tulsa, Matt Hogan of the University of Arkansas defeated Corrado Degl’Incerti Tocci from Virginia Tech, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

"I was pleased that Matt got back on the winning track," said head coach Robert Cox. "This is a big tournament where everyone is a tough competitor. Matt showed senior experience, I was very proud."

In doubles competition, Hogan and Chris Nott, who are ranked No. 37 in the country, fell 8-3 to Ugur Atalay and Erik Hanna from George Washington.

"We didn’t play bad, but the boys from George Washington played really solid," said Cox. "It was a good tour for Hogan, though. He is continuing to play really good tennis."

Nott plays his first match Thursday morning. His opponent has not yet been determined.
