Hogs And Tar Heels Meet For Spot In Sweet 16

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Arkansas men’s basketball team will square-off against No. 1 seed North Carolina in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday at 5:10 p.m. CT on TNT.

The No. 8 seed Razorbacks (26-9) survived against No. 9 seed Seton Hall (21-12) 77-71 in the first round on Friday afternoon, using a 15-3 run over the final 6:33 of the game to outlast the Pirates.

The Razorbacks have advanced to the round of 32 in their last three NCAA Tournament appearances, having lost to North Carolina in each of the last two second round contests. Arkansas will go for its first Sweet Sixteen appearance since 1996 and the 11th in school history.

North Carolina rolled past the No. 16 seed Texas Southern 103-64 on Friday.

Arkansas is 5-1 in neutral site games this season and is 13-7 in its last 20 contests away from Bud Walton Arena. The Razorbacks have now won nine of their last 11 games overall.
