Hogs Close Schedule With Thanksgiving Trip

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- The Arkansas volleyball team will close out its schedule with a Thanksgiving road trip, facing Georgia Wednesday night and Alabama Friday night.

All-Time Series vs Georgia
Wednesday’s match will be the 36th meeting between the two teams, with the Razorbacks holding a 15-match advantage. Arkansas swept Georgia in Barnhill earlier this season, and has won the nine of the last 10 matches against the Bulldogs.

All-Time Series vs Alabama
Friday’s match will be the 48th meeting between the two teams, with Arkansas holding a wide 32-15 advantage. This will be the second time the teams will meet this season, with the Hogs dropping a 3-1 decision in October. The Tide has won the last eight match-ups in the series.

Last Time Out
The Razorbacks fell to No. 2 Tennessee Sunday afternoon on senior day. The Hogs put up a fight, winning the second set and dropping two sets 25-23.

Where They Rank
With two matches left in SEC play, the Hogs sit in ninth place in the conference standings. Sophomore Hailey Dirrigl comes in at No. 7 in kills/set, averaging 3.60 with 292 this season. Junior Rachel Rippee is seventh with 8.22 assists/set, recording 748 in 25 matches. Freshman Lauren Evans’ 0.34 aces/set are sixth in the SEC while senior Okiana Valle is at the top of the league with 5.21 digs/set.

Wednesday’s match at Georgia will be streamed on the SEC Network. First serve for both matches will be at 7 p.m. (CT).
