FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 19 Arkansas women’s tennis team will play its final home match of the regular season Sunday, welcoming No. 24 Tennessee to George M. Billingsley Tennis Center.

First serve between the Razorbacks (14-8, 4-6 Southeastern Conference) and Volunteers (16-8, 3-7 SEC) is slated for noon.

Sunday’s match will mark Senior Day for Arkansas co-captains Shannon Hudson and Sasha Shkorupeieva. Both seniors will be recognized prior to the match. Doors open at 11 a.m., with the ceremony slated to begin at approximately 11:50 a.m.

A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and four-year letter winner, Hudson has turned in 113 career wins combined in singles and doubles during her collegiate career. After being selected as an alternate for the NCAA individual championships in each of the last two seasons, Hudson is the only two-time SEC player of the week this spring and is the No. 51-ranked singles player in the nation. Hudson has knocked off four ranked opponents this year, including one in the top 10. Representing the fourth generation in the Hudson family to attend college in the state of Arkansas, she will graduate next spring with a degree in communication.

Shkorupeieva, from Odessa, Ukraine, has also played a vital role for the Razorbacks. A four-year letter winner, she has totaled 93 victories combined in singles and doubles during her Arkansas tenure. Shkorupeieva is a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree and an active member of the Razorback Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She will graduate next spring with a degree in sport management.

Hudson and Shkorupeieva helped lead the Razorbacks to 20 team wins against nationally ranked opponents over the last four seasons. The duo also helped guide Arkansas to NCAA Tournament appearances in each of the last two seasons and a current top-20 national ranking.
