ARDMORE, Okla. – After two rounds of play the Razorback golf team found themselves in sixth place at the Perry Maxwell Intercollegiate with a score of 571 (+11). They are 20 strokes off the leader, Oklahoma State, on Dornick Hills Country Club golf course.
“We struggled in the morning round, but played better this afternoon,” Arkansas head coach Mike Ketcham. “Paul Bradshaw played really consistent and so did Seth Murphy. Both of those guys were solid. We’re going to come out tomorrow and see if we can’t move up that leader board.”
Arkansas freshman, Paul Bradshaw, is leading the team in a tie for fourth place and is at two under par after shooting rounds of 68 and 70.
All the juniors, including Andrew Dahl, Seth Murphy and Adam Wing, each shot a five-over-par 75 in the first round. Fortunately, they all improved in the second round after having to endure a rain delay.
Murphy posted a career-best 67 for a two-over-par 142 on the day and an 18th place slot. Wing shot a 71 to put himself in a tie for 39th with a 146 and six over par.
Dahl carded a 72 for a seven-over-par 147. His score put him in a tie for 42nd place with freshman Darren Holder, who fired a 73 and 74.
The final round of the Maxwell will begin Sunday at 8 a.m.
