Hogs Out in First Round of SEC Tournament
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Arkansas men’s tennis team was defeated by Mississippi State, 4-0, Thursday in Lexington, Ky., in the first round of the Southeastern Conference tournament.

The Hogs started off slow, losing the doubles point. The only victory for Arkansas came at the No. 1 position in doubles, as Oskar Johansson and Henrik Tofft knocked off State’s Marco Baron and Chris McDonald, 8-6. At the No. 2 spot, Aleksey Bubis and Oggie Kolev were defeated by Luiz Carvalho and LeBelicard, 9-8. And in the at No. 3 Magnus Kullenberg and Eduardo Pacheco fell to Matt Soto and Rene-Charles Combette, 8-5.

In singles play, the Razorbacks got three losses, clinching the match for the Bulldogs. No. 2 All-American Johansson was upset by No. 3 Baron, 6-4, 6-2. Playing in the No. 3 slot, Kolev fell to Carvalho, 6-3, 6-2. And in the No. 4 spot Kullenberg lost to David Ruiz, 6-1, 6-2. The other matches were not completed once the winner had been determined.
