FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Now in the thick of the tennis powerhouses, the No. 26 Arkansas Razorbacks men’s tennis team is preparing for a tough battle when they host the No. 12 Kentucky Wildcats in a Friday afternoon match at the UA Outdoor Tennis Complex, weather permitting. This is the Razorbacks first home match in a stretch of two weeks and five matches. The Hogs return to their home in a bit of a slump, dropping four of their last five matches, but have still managed to stay near the top of the SEC West, tied for third. Kentucky has won three of its last five and is tied for second place in the SEC East.Head coach Robert Cox is anxious about getting his team back on the Fayetteville courts.“We’ve had a good season so far and played some tough teams,” Cox said. “Kentucky comes in as a legitimate top ten team and we really respect them. They have a great history and a great program. This is going to be our first match at home on the outdoor courts as well. We have to come out focused and execute. I expect it to be a great match and hopefully we can get back on the winning track.”The match has a 1 pm start time at the UA Outdoor Tennis Complex behind the Dills Indoor Tennis Center.
