Hogs Start Alabama Game Week on a Good Note
BY ANDRES FOCIL
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Houston Nutt was pleased with the day’s practice as his Razorbacks continued preparations for Saturday’s game against the Crimson Tide of Alabama. The two-hour practice was held in cool, sunny weather conditions on the fields behind the Razorbacks’ home stadium.
“They’ve got a very tough defense,” Nutt said. “We’re preparing for the offense with both quarterbacks. We’ve got to get ready for their options and their home runs off the options.”
Nutt and his staff talked about patience with their team during the day’s practice.
“We told the kids today there may be some runs of one yard,” Nutt said. “We feel like we can get our share if we just stick with it and be patient. We had 93 snaps against them last year and saw some of last year’s clips. We know it’s going to be war and that’s what SEC football is all about. We’ve just prepared ourselves the best we can.”
The Razorbacks and the Crimson Tide will battle at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday with a 6:45 p.m. kickoff. The game will also be nationally televised on ESPN.
