Arkansas jumped three spots in the poll as a result of a win over No. 2 Tennessee on Friday. Leading the way in the Friday evening game was Kimmy Beasley. She pitched a complete game and gave up one run on four hits for her eighth win of the season. The Foreman, Ark. native struck out four batters and walked two. The win for the Razorbacks broke a 19-game winning streak for the No. 2 Volunteers. This was also the ninth win over a ranked opponent for the Hogs this season. The following two games of the Tennessee series were cancelled due to rain in the area.
The Razorbacks return home as winners of five of their last six games and will finish their 2013 regular season schedule this weekend when Auburn comes to Bogle Park. Game one is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday. Be sure to follow the live blog on Arkansasrazorbacks.com. All three games of the Auburn series will be available to watch on Razorvision.
