Hogs set to compete at Seminole

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-The No. 21 ranked University of Arkansas men’s golf team returns for their second tournament appearance of the spring March 6-8 in the Seminole Intercollegiate. The 54-hole event is hosted by Florida State at the par 72, 6965 yard Golden Eagle Country Club.Other SEC teams slated to play in the event are Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss. State, and Vanderbilt, with the field also including Alabama Birmingham, Boston College, College of Charleston, Maryland, Virginia, and Western Carolina. Tee times for the first round of play begin at 7:30 on Friday morning. Arkansas players Will Osborne, Jason Cuthbertson, Ethan Tracy, David Lingmerth, and Andrew Landry will compete for the team. The tournament comes just two weeks after the Razorbacks competed in the John A. Burns Intercollegiate. In that event the Hogs managed a fourth place finish in the pack of 17 teams, with Texas A&M taking the title by going 28 strokes under, to the Razorbacks 15-under. Stand-out performances were provided by senior Andrew Landry who shot a 68 in the final round to tie him for fourth place at 8-under for the event and freshman Ethan Tracy who at two strokes behind Landry tied from 10th place.Livescoring will be available for the event on Golfstat.com.
