Hogwired.com Players of the Week Announced

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Receiver Lucas Miller, defensive end Adrian Davis and kicker Alex Tejada have been named the Hogwired.com players of the week for their performances Saturday against No. 22 Tennessee at Neyland Stadium.

Miller tallied 31 receiving yards on two receptions, including a 20-yard catch in the third quarter, against the Volunteers. On the season, the sophomore receiver is tied for the team lead with three touchdown catches. He is fourth on the team with nine receptions this season and is averaging 13.6 yards per reception.

Starting his third consecutive game at the right end position, Davis posted a career-high 12 tackles. Ten of this 12 tackles were solo stops, which is another career best. Davis also brought down Tennessee running back Montario Hardesty in the backfield for a loss of five yards in the second quarter. The sophomore end now has 46 tackles on the year, including six tackles for loss.

Earning his third player of the week honor this season, Tejada converted on both of his field goal attempts and one PAT tallying seven points against Tennessee. He nailed fields goals of 31 and 42 yards.

The freshman place kicker has made 16 field goals this season, the most by a Razorback kicker since Todd Latourette made 17 in 1998. Tejada’s season total of 16 is four shy of the UA freshman record for field goals in a season. His 42-yard field goal was the fourth converted field goal of 40 yards or more, including his season long make of 47 yards against Chattanooga.
