Hurricane Ike impact continues for Razorback teams

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Razorback soccer team and women’s cross country team join the Arkansas football team with weather-related schedule changes for this weekend.

Hurricane Ike is expected to make landfall along the Texas Gulf Coast late Friday evening into Saturday morning.

Arkansas’ soccer match at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas, is postponned for Sunday. The Razorbacks play this evening in Clarksville, Tenn., at Austin Peay.

The Razorback women’s cross country team will not compete at this weekend’s Aztec Invitational in San Diego due to flight cancellations. The Razorbacks were scheduled to fly through Houston. Instead, the women’s cross country team will compete at a meet in Memphis, Tenn.

Earlier in the week, the Arkansas-Texas football game was rescheduled to Sept. 27 due to Hurricane Ike.
