FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas football post-season bowl notes for media are now available on-line as a virtual interactive book, or vbook.
Three versions of the 2011 football bowl vbook are available for fans to access along with media members.
All three present the information from the 2011 Allstate Sugar Bowl print edition, which includes the full Razorback bowl history, bowl records and updated bios, statistics and 2010 season highlights.
Each vbook edition links to special highlight videos from ArkansasRazorbacks.com and links to each player and coaching staff members’ full on-line bio also from ArkansasRazorbacks.com. Internet access is required to jump to the on-line bios or videos as they are not embedded in the book and available as streaming video.
For those with a high speed connections, a interactive on-line version complete with page turning is available at this link.
For those with slower connections or wanting to download the vbook, an Adobe Acrobat PDF version is available in two modes, one for users with the ability to support the standard Flash videos linked from ArkansasRazorbacks.com’s RazorVision section and one optimized for fans in the Apple iSpace (iPhone, iPad, iTouch).
In each edition, the large action photographs link to highlight videos with natural sound from the 2010 Razorback season. Again, those using the Flash-based edition will link to the RazorVision player to view the highlights; the iSpace version link to a mirror site for the appropriate Apple QuickTime editions of the same video.
Those with Apple portable devices are encouraged to import the PDF into iBooks for the best results. To put the post-season bowl book into iBooks, make sure you have the latest edition of the Apple book reader, which allows for PDF imports into the library. To load via iTunes, drag the PDF from your desktop into the books library of the software, then sync with your iSpace device and it should appear directly in iBooks.
