Jennings Honored By SEC

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Arkansas senior Peyton Jennings has been named to the 2018 Southeastern Conference Women’s Tennis Community Service Team, the league office announced Tuesday.

The SEC Community Service Team looks to highlight a student-athlete from each school who gives back to her community in superior service efforts.

Jennings, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, has participated in a variety of community service opportunities at the University of Arkansas. She has participated in Book Hogs, Sweat Hogs, Salute to Veterans, a Valentine’s Day Celebration Event at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, as well as the Adopt a Veteran Program at the Arkansas State Veterans Home. She has volunteered at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter with the Children’s Fun Run, and with the Razorbacks vs. Missouri Canned Food Drive at Walmart. She also helped organize a senior prom at the Fayetteville Health and Rehabilitation Center and participated in the Red Ribbon Rally.

Jennings is a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll and three times been named an ITA Scholar Athlete and is an active member in the Razorback SAAC.

She is a psychology major with departmental honors and is currently working on her thesis and will graduate in May 2019.

On the court, Jennings has spent the last four years as a key leader and contributor for the Razorbacks, turning in 21 career wins in singles and doubles.
