Joost Nicoara Sosebee Advance to Main Draw at ITA Central Regional

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas tennis completed competition in the qualifying draw of the ITA Central Regional Championships on Thursday. The main draw, held at the University of Tulsa’s Michael D. Case Tennis Center, will begin on Friday.

The singles champion from this event will earn a spot in the Nov. 2-5 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships hosted by Ohio State at the Racquet Club of Columbus.

Entered in the qualifying draw for the Razorbacks was Branden Joost, Andrei Nicoara, Drew Sosebee and Brian Yanulis.

Nicoara will advance to the main draw with his win over Paul Feder of St. Louis, 6-2, 6-1. Also moving on is Sosebee after defeating Tim Link of Illinois State, 6-3, 6-2. Joost edged Daniel Tobar of Illinois State, 6-4, 6-3.

Yanulis fell to Marcus Fadul of St. Louis, 7-5, 6-1, and will not advance to the main draw.

Competing in the main draw along with Joost, Nicoara and Sosebee will be Dmitry Lebedev, Colin Mascall, Gabriel Mattos, #96 Blake Strode, Jorge Villanueva and Dmitry Vlaskin. For complete results of the ITA Central Regional Championships, visit www.tulsahurricane.com.
