MOSCOW, RUSSIA — Deena Kastor and Regiana George were both on display at the world stage today as they were representing their countries and the University of Arkansas at the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Russia.& Kastor ran for a time of 2:36.12 in the women’s marathon to finish ninth in the event. She was also the first American to finish the race and just 11 minutes behind the first-place finisher. George, running for Nigeria, ran in heat five of the 400m, finishing second in her heat with a time of 51.01. George was able to automatically qualify into the next round with her mark and currently stands with the eighth fastest time for the event. The semifinals for the women’s 400m is scheduled to begin at 11:0f a.m. CST, on Sunday, Aug. 11.
