FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — University of Arkansas women’s basketball senior Keira Peak met with RazorVision in a recent interview to discuss her final season as a Razorback and what the senior has set out to accomplish in her final campaign.
"My personal goal is to be defensive player of the year for the SEC," Peak said. "During the summer when we went to Italy I guarded the point guard the whole time. I’ve been trying to guard the best people and making sure I don’t foul. I’ve told the coaches and I’ve told the team that I want to be defensive player of the year."
Peakhastaken encouraging, early steps toward accomplishing her goals, as the Clyattville, Ga., native, recorded three steals and three blocks in the team’s 91-33 win over Oral Roberts on Wednesday. The 5-9 forward added eight points on the offensive end as well.
