King named to SEC Community Service Team

AUBURN, Ala. – University of Arkansas men’s tennis player Taylor King has been named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the league office announced today. This is the second time King has been honored for his work in the Northwest Arkansas community.Involved in numerous community service projects during his career at Arkansas, King is a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and was part of the Christmas Shop with the Razorback SAAC Team at Toys-R-Us in December. King also participates in the Book Hog and Sweat Hawgs programs and took part in the David Johnson II Memorial Kids Day tennis clinic. He also helped in the SEC Together We Can program, collecting canned food goods.

The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 20 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community in superior service efforts.

King and the Razorbacks are in Auburn, Ala. this week for the SEC Tournament where they will face the Kentucky Wildcats in the tournament’s first round on Thursday April 23. Match time is set for 3 p.m. (CST).
