Kingsley and Barford Up Next on Mike’d Up

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior Moses Kingsley and junior Jaylen Barford will join Mike Anderson on the third Mike’d Up of the season, the weekly radio show dedicated to Arkansas basketball at Sassy’s Red House in Fayetteville on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Mike’d Up can be heard across the Razorback Sports Network from IMG College throughout the state. All but two of the 12 shows are held on Mondays, with Tuesday, Nov. 29 serving as the final exception due to the game schedule.

The one-hour program gives fans an opportunity to interact with Razorback coaches and players, while also getting a chance to learn more about the personalities they witness on the court. Hosted by the voice of the Razorbacks, Chuck Barrett, the program features interviews with Coach Anderson and Arkansas student-athletes, coaches and staff members. Fans in attendance will also have an opportunity to ask the head Razorback their own questions. Fans can also send in questions to Coach Anderson on the day of each show via Twitter to @RazorbackMBB and by using the hashtag #MikedUp.

Moses Kingsley entered his senior campaign as the SEC Preseason Player of the Year and currently leads the league and ranks second in the country with 4.8 blocks per game. He is one of 10 players in the nation with three-plus blocks in four games this season. Kingsley recorded his first double-double of the season on the road at Minnesota last Tuesday, scoring 10 points and pulling down 10 boards. He is currently the SEC’s active leader with 18 double-doubles in his career.

A junior college transfer from Motlow State Community College, Jaylen Barford has made an impact early in his Razorback career. Barford has started all four games this season, while averaging 12.0 point per game, including a career-high 17 point, six rebound and three steal performance against UT Arlington. He has scored in double figures in three of the first four games and has at least five rebounds in two outings. Barford is second on the team in scoring and tied for third in rebounding.

The Razorbacks will face the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers out of the Northeast Conference tonight at 7 p.m., before hosting Stephen F. Austin on Thursday, Dec. 1 and Austin Peay on Saturday, Dec. 3. Arkansas will play five straight home games starting tonight until mid-December before going to Houston to face the Texas Longhorns in the Lone Star Shootout.
