Kora Named First Team Academic All-District

FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas senior swimmer Angela Kora earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI First Team honors, Thursday, May 25. The awards are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Kora recorded a 3.94 grade point average in Mechanical engineering and she is the first Lady Razorback selected to the first team since Kattie Shepherd in 2002.

The Aloha, Ore., native is one of the most versatile swimmers on the Lady’Backs squad. In her final season at Arkansas, Kora competed in seven events with her season best times in the 200 back and 200 IM occurring at the Southeastern Conference Championship meet. In addition to the academic honor, Kora was a member of the SEC Good Works Team.
