COLLEGE STATION, Texas-Arkansas freshman diver Brieanne Kushner finished 11th at the NCAA Zone “D” Championship in College Station, Texas, Friday, March 11 and just missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
Arkansas diving coach Scott Reich said this is a learning experience for Kushner as she has another chance to make nationals on the one-meter springboard.
“Hopefully, she learns something to take into her future,” Reich said. “She just needs to keep growing up. If she thinks positively, she is very capable of qualifying.”
Kushner was 11th with a score of 404.40 in the finals and 235.60 in the preliminaries of the three-meter springboard event.
Competition continues Saturday, March 12, with the one-meter springboard. Kushner is the only Lady Razorback expected to participate.
