Kushner takes home fifth-place finish on platform

AUSTIN, TEXAS – University of Arkansas junior diver Brieanne Kushner finished fifth in the platform diving event on the final day of the NCAA Zone ‘D’ Diving Meet at the University of Texas’ Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas. Kushner’s score of 384.05 gave her the best finish of the meet for the Lady Razorbacks. Sophomore Kellyn Williams placed 12th on the platform with a 172.05, while sophomore Madison Palmer earned a 14th-place finish with a score of 326.00. The Lady’Backs missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships, but gained some valuable diving experience over the weekend. “This is a very, very tough zone, but they gave it their best shot and dove well,” Arkansas diving coach Scott Reich said. “I think this motivated them for next year. They just need to keep improving.” For more information about Arkansas swimming and diving, please log on to LADYBACKS.COM.
