Lady Razorbacks hope to extended win-streak in SEC play at Rocky Top

FAYETTEVILLE — A three-game Southeastern Conference winning-streak will be on the line for the 22nd-ranked University of Arkansas Lady Razorback tennis team when they face the 20th-ranked Tennessee Lady Volunteers on Friday.

The Lady’Backs (10-5, 3-1 in SEC) will also look to extend their excellent play in SEC action by attempting to end a nine year losing-streak against Tennessee. The last time Arkansas defeated Tennessee was back in 1999, 7-2.

Leading the Lady’Backs in singles is No. 1 ranked Aurelija Miseviciute along with Ela Kaluder at No. 122. Miseviciute boasts a 12-2 record with her high ranking while Kaluder sports a 9-6 mark, respectively.

In doubles, juniors Miseviciute and Kaluder combine for a No. 32 ranking with a 7-5 record and 5-3 on Court 1. Senior Audrey Bordeleau and freshman Anouk Tigu are currently tied for No. 50 with an impressive 11-1 record while being 4-0 in SEC play.

The Lady Vols (10-4, 3-1 in SEC) will try to offset Arkansas’ top netters with No. 71 Caitlin Whoriskey in singles. Whoriskey and Zsofia Zubor are currently ranked No. 9 in doubles, to round out Tennessee’s ranked student-athletes.
