Lady'Back Duo Ranked Nationally

FAYETTEVILLE- Seniors Whitney Lynn and Zsuzsa Csobanki of the University of Arkansas swimming and diving team are among the top in the nation in the rankings released by Taper & Shave, Inc. on Nov. 26.

Head coach Anne Goodman James said she was pleased with Lynn’s and Csobanki’s performances in their final collegiate season.

“Whitney and Zsuzsa have consistently done a great job for this team all throughout their four years here at Arkansas,” Goodman James said. “While I feel sure that both of them will continue to improve in the second half of our season, national rankings this high at the end of the fall give us confidence that they will both qualify for the NCAA Championships in March.”

Lynn is seventh in the nation in the 1650 free with a time of 16:28.53 and 23rd in the 500 free with a time of 4:51 after her performance at the Aggie Invitational in College Station, Texas Nov. 19-21. Lynn qualified for NCAA ‘B’ cuts in both the 500 and 1650 free. Lynn’s 1650 free time ranks fourth all-time in Arkansas history.

Csobanki ranks 17th with her performance of 23.17 in the 50 free at the Aggie Invitational. Csobanki’s time satisfied a NCAA ‘B’ cut.
