Lady'Back golfers eliminated at Match Play Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. – The 22nd-ranked University of Arkansas women’s golf team suffered a 3-0-2 loss to LSU and was eliminated in the third round of the Hooters Match Play Championship. Juniors Stacy Lewis and Ashley Medders each halved their matches but LSU managed three wins eliminating the Lady’Backs. “We didn’t play very well today,” said Arkansas head coach Kelley Hester. “We were a little flat after yesterday. This was a good learning experience and gives us something to build on for the spring.” Arkansas downed Purdue in the first round but fell to top-ranked Georgia in the second round Friday. The Hooters Match Play Championship was the final event of the fall for the Lady’Backs. For more information about Arkansas golf, please log on to LADYBACKS.COM.
