Lady'Back volleyball travels to Kansas State Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas volleyball team travels to Kansas State University for spring tournament action Saturday. “The Kansas State tournament will be very good competition and a chance to see how we respond to playing on the road,” said Arkansas head coach Chris Poole. “We were able to get all 12 players a lot of playing time last Saturday and plan to do the same thing at Kansas State.” Arkansas faces a challenging schedule taking on the host Wildcats along with BYU and Wichita State, all of whom were ranked in the top 25 last fall. In addition, the Lady’Backs face Creighton, Missouri State and Nebraska-Kearney, a top Division II school. “This weekend gives us a lot of game opportunity and another chance to see how our team responds,” said Poole. “I was a little disappointed last weekend in our effort in some of the games. We have six upperclassmen that have started the last two or three years and I expect us to compete at a high level every game.” The tournament is the second of four scheduled events for the Lady Razorbacks this spring.
