FAYETTEVILLE – The new-look University of Arkansas women’s basketball team has two games selected for airing on Fox Sports Net, Lady Razorback head coach Susie Gardner announced today.
Arkansas’ road game with Miss State on Feb. 1 is part of a women’s basketball doubleheader on FSN. Tipoff time for the contest at Starkville, Miss., moves back to 8 p.m. central time.
The next Thursday, Feb. 8, the Lady’Backs’ home game with South Carolina airs live on FSN. Tipoff at Walton Arena for the UA-USC game moves up to 6 p.m.
With six newcomers including all-America high school and junior college players, the Lady’Backs mix one of the largest and most talented recruiting classes with key returnees like 2006 leading scorer Leslie Howard and 2005 season leading scorer and rebounder Sarah Pfeifer.
Arkansas anticipates the announcement of two more cable-cast games in the following weeks.
The season begins on Nov. 4 with an exhibition game at Walton Arena versus Missouri Southern. The regular season starts on the road at Clemson on Nov. 10 with the regular season home opener set for Nov. 13 against Louisiana-Monroe.
