Lady'Backs continue SEC schedule Friday against 2nd-ranked Florida

After Mother Nature’s objection to the University of Arkansas women’s tennis team’s non-conference match against Southern Methodist University earlier this week, the Lady Razorbacks are ready to rejoin the Southeastern Conference schedule on Friday, March 23 against the University of Florida Gators at home at the UA Varsity Courts at 2:00 p.m.

The Lady’Backs (7-6, 0-4) look to capture their first SEC win of the 2007 season with two teams traveling to Fayetteville this weekend. The Gators (11-1, 2-1) come to the Natural State ranked second in the country this week after being up-ended by the University of Georgia on March 11. Georgia and Florida post this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s top two rankings, respectively.

The Lady’Backs also welcome the University of South Carolina Gamecocks to the UA Varsity Courts on Sunday, March 25. Due to changing travel plans, match time on Sunday has been moved up to 11:00 a.m.

Arkansas gathered their first SEC win of the 2006 season against South Carolina last year. Junior Maryori Franco led the Lady’Backs with a three-set win on court four in Columbia last year.
