Most recently Arkansas dropped two games to No. 6 Oklahoma Wednesday. “I’m looking forward to this weekend,” saId head coach Jamie Pinkerton. “The good thing about this sport is that when you come off of a rocky game or two you always have a chance to redeem yourself and we’ll get another opportunity to get out and play good solid ball at home this weekend.” Louisiana Monroe is 11-6 on the season and defeated Texas Southern, 6-0, and Sam Houston State, 4-0, to win the Dominos Pizza Invitational this past weekend. ULM also won the 2007 Mardi Gras Classic earlier this year and now has three shutouts through 17 games. Arkansas leads the series with the Warhawks 4-1 and won the last doubleheader in Sherwood, Ark., by scores of 3-2 and 4-3. Northern Iowa scored an 8-0 victory over IUPUI and a 9-4 win over St. Louis last weekend to even its record to 4-4. This is the first meeting between the Panthers and the Lady’Backs.
