FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas softball team faces North Texas Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Lady’Back Yard. The Lady Razorbacks host their first mid-week game in a stretch of seven straight home dates. Arkansas won its last two games at Lady’Back Yard Sunday en route to a tournament victory and a 9-14 record. Freshman Miranda Dixon gave a helping hand in the two wins hitting three home runs. She was 7-for-7 adding four runs and four RBIs. “I would like to take the momentum from Sunday into the week,” said head coach Jamie Pinkerton. “We played well and hopefully we can keep improving and getting better.” North Texas has a 3-16 record after going 0-5 at the Great Western Downtown Plaza Classic in Tulsa, Okla., and is on a 13-game losing streak. The Lady’Backs meet North Texas Tuesday for the first time in school history. Arkansas is led offensively by freshman Jessica Bachkora who has a .403 batting average and holds team-highs with 29 hits, 16 runs, five doubles and 12 stolen bases. She is followed by Dixon who is batting .351 and who has a .561 slugging percentage. Junior Dayna Huckabee leads the team with 16 RBIs.
