Lady'Backs to Race at Indiana Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE-After a bye week, the University of Arkansas swimming and diving team returns to the pool in Bloomington, Ind., for the three-day Indiana Invitational beginning, Friday, Nov. 18.

The Lady Razorbacks attended the invitational during the 2003-04 season where they finished fourth out of nine teams.

Head swimming coach Anne Goodman James said a tremendous amount of preparation goes into the invitational because the Lady’Backs look to improve their season best times.

“This has always been a great meet for us,” she said. “We definitely look forward to this meet. This meet is the focus of our fall training.”

Freshmen Jesika Heidloff and Summer Jackson have consistently led the Lady’Back squad with Heidloff winning the 200 breast at the Rice Invitational, Nov. 4. Jackson has also won multiple events in the sprint freestyle and butterfly events this season.

The Lady’Backs return home for the Southeastern Conference opener, Dec. 3, against Kentucky at 1:30 p.m. inside the Arkansas Natatorium.
