Lady'Backs to Take Bite Out of Bulldogs

FAYETTEVILLE-The University of Arkansas softball team returns to Southeastern Conference play after a week and half off when the Lady Razorbacks travel to Mississippi State.

The Lady’Backs meet the Bulldogs for a doubleheader Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m. in Starkville, Miss., and the series wraps Sunday, April 17, at 1 p.m.

Arkansas softball head coach Jamie Pinkerton said the Lady’Backs need quality performances in the circle and he hopes his team continues to improve.

“We have to have good pitching because they’re (Mississippi State) a good hitting team,” Pinkerton said. “Hopefully, we can build on that (the team’s improvement) and take that into Starkville.”

Sophomore outfielder Rachel LeMaster leads the Arkansas offense as she is hitting .399 at the plate with 59 hits this season.
