Landry Tied for Third at Gopher Invitational

Wayzata, Minn. – Junior Andrew Landry is tied for third place after the first day of competition at the Gopher Invitational. The Razorbacks sit in sixth place of the team standings at the event being played out at the Spring Hill Golf Club in Wayzata, Minn.

In the first round, Landry shot a three-under-par 69 that he followed up with a second-round 73. The Groves, Texas, native is currently two-under-par, six shots behind the leader, heading in the final round.

David Lingmerth, playing in his first tournament as a Razorback, shot a five-over-par 149 during the two rounds Saturday. The transfer from the University of West Florida shot first- and second-round scores of 74 and 75, respectively. He is currently tied for 20th place.

Jason Cuthbertson followed an opening-round 79 with an even-par 72, the low second-round score for the Razorbacks, and finished the day seven over par. He sits in a tied for 28th place.Senior Barrett Lais shot a nine-over-par 153 over the first 36 holes. He is followed by freshman Austin Berkovsky, playing in his first collegiate event, who is ten-over-par after day one.

As a team, the Razorbacks shot a 593 (+17) Saturday after an opening-round 298 and second-around 295. Lamar University leads the team competition with an even-par 576 heading in to Sunday’s conclusion.

Senior Allen McFerran is competing as an individual at the event and is currently tied for 30th place after matching scores of 76 in the first two rounds.

Danny Zimmerman of Wisconsin leads the Gopher Invitational at eight under par.
