Lawson's Legacy

“I want to be known as a giving person…whether that means going to practice and giving all I got or if it’s in a track meet, giving all I got.” – Jarrion Lawson

Six-time NCAA champion Jarrion Lawson is about to begin a new journey in track and field, embarking on his first full campaign as a professional athlete since exhausting his collegiate eligibility last June. Before Lawson returns to the runway next month as a member of the elite squad, appropriately named Usain Bolt’s All-Stars, the 2016 U. S. Olympian will be one of six Razorback standouts honored this evening with the Salute to Excellence Award at the 20th Annual Red Tie Dinner and Auction.

The winners will be honored at the Red Tie Dinner on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at the John Q. Hammons Center, located in the Embassy Suites in Rogers, Arkansas. The reception and silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and the program beginning at 7 p.m.

Tickets are still available for purchase. For more information or details about sponsorships still available for the Red Tie Dinner, please contact Susie Shinn of the Razorback Foundation at (479) 443-9000. You may also visit the Razorback Foundation website for more information.
