LeMaster Named to Second Team All-SEC

FAYETTEVILLE-University of Arkansas sophomore outfielder Rachel LeMaster was a 2005 Second Team All-Southeastern Conference selection, the conference office announced.

LeMaster led the Lady Razorbacks throughout the season with a team-high .363 batting average, 73 hits and 27 stolen bases. She ranks second on the school list in batting average, hits and stolen bases in an individual season.

Arkansas softball head coach Jamie Pinkerton said he was pleased that his peers noticed LeMaster’s efforts on the field.

“It’s an honor well deserved,” Pinkerton said. “She led the team in batting average and was a true leader on the team. She is probably the team’s most valuable player.”

LeMaster is only the sixth Lady’Back in Arkansas school history named to an all-conference team and the first selection since 2001.
