Lewis Earns Runner-Up Finish

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Former Razorback All-American Stacy Lewis made a late surge and earned a runner-up finish at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic in the first event of the season this weekend.

Lewis posted a final round 68 and finished 16-under with rounds of 73-68-67-68=276, two strokes off the lead. The finish earned The Woodlands, Texas, native $96,957.00.

Lewis opened with three consecutive par holes before getting a birdie on the fourth hole. She bogeyed No. 8 and finished with four more birdies on holes 10, 13, 14 and 15.

Former Razorback Gabriela Lopez, playing in her first event as a professional, finished tied for 31st overall. Lopez shot 71-72-76-66=285. The Mexico City, Mexico, native, earned $9,322.00 – her first professional paycheck. Lopez’s final round featured one bogey, six birdies and one eagle Sunday.
