FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas athletes Stacy Lewis and Ela Kaluder earned selection to the
ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Lewis, a junior golfer for the Lady Razorbacks, earned first-team honors with a 3.73 grade point average in accounting and finance. The Woodlands, Texas, native is competing as an individual at the NCAA Championship this week and is near the top of the leader board in Daytona Beach, Fla. Lewis’ honors are numerous. A three-time all-Southeastern Conference first-team selection, she has earned a pair of all-America honors from the National Golf Coaches Association in 2005 and 2006. Lewis was named Golfweek’s top amateur after a solid summer in 2006 and followed up with a tie for fifth place at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, one of the four majors on the LPGA tour. Recently named to the SEC Community Service team, Lewis is also a two-time NGCA Academic All-Scholar team selection. As a first-team selection, Lewis moves on to the national ballot where voting will determine academic all-America selections. Kaluder is a sophomore on the Lady Razorback tennis team. The Zagreb, Croatia, native has a 3.93 gpa in kinesiology/exercise science and earned second-team honors this week. Kaluder just completed her season at the NCAA Championships finishing her season with a 26-14 mark. The first-team all-SEC selection helped Arkansas to an 11-11 season just missing a team selection to the post season.
