Lewis moves up to 17th at State Farm Classic

FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas senior Stacy Lewis fired a three-under 69 in the third round of the LPGA State Farm Classic moving into a tie for 17th with one round remaining. The Woodlands, Texas, native is five-under for the tournament with rounds of 71-71-69=211 and moved up from a tie for 33rd after Friday’s play. Lewis has been under in each round of play at the Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Ill., with one round remaining on the par-72, 6,608-yard course. Lewis began play on the back nine Saturday and put together a round with five birdies and two bogeys. Lewis’ play includes 36 fairways hit, 37 greens in regulation, 87 putts and one sand save.
