Lewis ties for 26th at State Farm Classic

FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas senior Stacy Lewis carded a final round 72 coming of the golf course tied for 26th at the 2007 State Farm Classic in Springfield, Ill., Sunday. Lewis finished with a five-under 283 (71-71-69-72) with her final round an even 72 on the 6,608-yard Panther Creek Country Club Sunday. Lewis is the most decorated golfer in Lady Razorback history and has quickly made a name for herself on the amateur tour. A three-time first-team all-SEC and all-American, Lewis won the NCAA title in 2007 and took home the Dinah Shore Trophy this spring. The Woodlands, Texas, native finished tied for fifth at the 2007 Kraft Nabisco Championship in the spring, following up with team and women’s titles at the 2007 Copas de las Americas in Canada. Lewis also won the Western Amateur and was Golfweek’s top-ranked amateur female in both 2006 and in 2007.
