VICTORIA, Texas – Arkansas junior Craig Lile is in thirteenth place after the two rounds of the NCAA Central Regional at the Victoria Country Club in Victoria, Texas.
After a first round 71, Lile was in a tie with 15 other competitors in ninth place. His 35-36 first round was only three strokes back of the first round leader Chris Chesson of Louisiana-Lafayette.
Remaining consistent, Lile shot a second round 71 and now is in a tie for thirteenth. Playing as an individual, Lile must be in the top three of the 16 individual playing in the regional to continue at the NCAA Golf Tournament held at Opelika, Alabama.
He is currently the in the lead of individuals by three strokes.
Josh Habig of Northwestern is in the lead firing an 8-under-par 63 in the second round to lead by one stroke. Habig’s score moved his team from eleventh to first place in the team standings. Oklahoma State is quietly in second place with a 1-under-par 567.
Lile, a first team all-Southeastern Conference selection, will play his final round Saturday.
