Lile Moves Up 13 Places in Second Round of SEC

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas senior golfer Craig Lile moved up 13 places on Saturday to 16th after the second round of the Southeastern Conference Golf Championships at Sea Island Golf Club in Sea Island, Ga. The Razorback team remains in 12th after shooting a team score of 301 in the second round to give it a shot total of 606 in two days.
Lile moved into 16th with his second round 71 finishing Saturday with a two-day total of 145 (5-over par) to be the highest Razorback in the draw. Lile trails the tournament leader Bryant Odom of Georgia by eight strokes as Odom enters the final round on Sunday at 3-under par.
Sophomore Beau Galyean dropped from 31st place to 45th place with his second round 77 moving him to 152 for the weekend. Redshirt freshman Adam Wing shot a second round 76 to move him to 154 and in 48th place. Sophomore Drew Higginbothom is the fourth Razorback checking in with a 77 for day two and sits in 53rd place. Freshman Kyle Vance shot an 81 in the second round and is in 59th place at 162.
The University of Georgia remains in first place shooting a 606 in the tournament with a 12-stroke lead over second-place Florida who sits at 571. The defending champion Bulldogs have four of their five players in the top 10. Rounding out the top-five teams are Auburn at 574, Alabama at 580 and Tennessee at 581.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday with the third and final round.
