FAYETTEVILLE – Lindy’s 2011 Southeastern Football magazine is on newsstands now. Lindy’s ranks Arkansas’ wide receivers as the second-best group of receivers in the nation, and running back Knile Davis is a second-team All-America pick by the magazine.
Davis is rated as the fourth-best running back in the country, and Greg Childs is ranked as the seventh-best receiver. Travis Swanson is ranked as the sixth-best center in the country, and Tyler Wilson is rated as the 22nd-best quarterback. Jake Bequette is the ninth-best defensive end and Jerry Franklin the 10th-best inside linebacker in the nation.
In addition, the magazine selects Childs on its first team All-SEC offense, while Davis, Wilson, wide receiver Joe Adams, Swanson, lineman Alvin Bailey and kicker Zach Hocker are on the second team.
Defensively, Lindy’s has Bequette on its first team and Franklin on its second team.
Lindy’s predicts Arkansas to finish third in the SEC Western Division and 10th nationally.
