The Razorbacks are back from their training trips and getting ready to dive into the 2011 half of the season. The Hogs are back on the road next Thursday, Jan. 13 against Kansas. But, as the holidays wind down and the season picks up, here’s what junior diver Liana Bugslag had to say about the diver’s training trip at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Indianapolis, Ind., Dec. 28-Jan. 3:

After landing in Indianapolis we went to the pool and started our holiday training. The week consisted of long training hours at the National Training Center! It was very cool, there was three members of the 2008 Olympic team training there! Our training consisted of two hours dry-land training where we did dry board, trampoline, stretching and flips on mats. That was followed by two hours pool training, a lunch break, and another two hours of pool training.

Everyone had a different workout everyday that was catered towards our personal goals and coach’s goals for us. As for diving, everyone did AWESOME this week! We learned new dives and our lists all improved drastically preparing us for the SEC championship meet and NCAA Zone meet. All of the girls learned new dives on ten meter, which was huge! We were able to do more because the facility was equipped with digital recording technology and a bubbler, luxuries we don’t have in Fayetteville.

We even got to see some of the swimmers and some of their family members before they headed back to Fayetteville (Carly Mercer, Molly Milborn and family). We were fortunate enough to be able to get some tickets to the Indianapolis Colts game against the Tennessee Titans. The Colts won with a very exciting end!
