FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Wes McCrotty lofted a single down the left-field line to score Michael Conner with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning and lift Arkansas to a 6-5 win over Kansas Tuesday night at Baum Stadium. The Razorbacks (15-15) snapped a three-game losing streak while the Jayhawks (14-15) lost their fourth game in a row. KU left fielder Matt Tribble made a diving attempt to catch McCrotty’s hit as he streaked toward the left-field line. Tribble appeared to catch the ball before the impact of his landing jarred the ball from his glove and Conner crossed the plate to give UA its first walk-off victory of the season. Arkansas reliever Josh Merryman (3-2) earned the win with two innings of work despite yielding three hits and the game-tying run in the top of the eighth inning. KU reliever Jeff Davis (2-1) allowed five hits in 2 2/3 innings and was charged with the loss.
