McFadden Olajubutu and Balseiro Picked as Hogwired.com Athletes of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Freshman tailback Darren McFadden, junior linebacker Sam Olajubutu and senior kicker Chris Balseiro were each named Hogwired.com Players of Week after their quality performances against Southeastern Conference opponent Alabama.

McFadden made his first career start against the Crimson Tide on Saturday and racked up a team-high 95 rushing yards, averaging 11.9 yards per carry. In the fourth quarter he posted a 70-yard touchdown run that was the longest of his career and the second-longest “long play” for the Razorbacks this year. This is the second-straight week McFadden has earned Hogwired.com’s weekly honor.

Olajubutu also picked up his second-consecutive Hogwired.com award after he recorded a team high 16 tackles, including nine unassisted tackles. He then went on to register two sacks for a total loss of 10 yards. The pair of sacks was the first of his career. Through four games Olajubutu has 53 tackles, exceeding his total of 52 from the 2004 campaign.

Balseiro nailed two field goals at Alabama, one from 34 yards out and the other from 27. He improved to three of four on the season, including three of three on kicks between 30 and 39 yards. With his 27-yarder in the fourth quarter, his total of four field goals for the year matches his total from last season.
