Meet @RazorbackWTEN: Yang Pang

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 54 University of Arkansas women’s tennis team begins its 2015 spring schedule Saturday, Jan. 17 with a home doubleheader against Wichita State and Mercer. In an effort to get to know the Razorback women’s tennis team, ArkansasRazorbacks.com will feature a student-athlete each day leading up to Jan. 17.

Today’s featured student-athlete is junior Yang Pang.

Pang is in her third season with the Razorbacks and has competed at the top of the singles lineup in each of her first two seasons. As a freshman in 2012-13, Pang became the first ever Razorback freshman to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships while tallying a 17-17 overall singles record.

Known as “Nicky” around the Billingsley Tennis Center, Pang compiled a 15-19 overall singles mark during her sophomore season. To start off her junior campaign, the Nanjing, China, native, finished the 2014 fall slate with a 4-4 singles record.

ArkansasRazorbacks.com recently sat down with Pang.
