Meet The #OmaHogs

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas baseball team will hold its annual Meet The Razorbacks Day on Saturday, Feb. 13 at center court of the Northwest Arkansas Mall from 4-6 p.m.

Now in its 21st year, the event features Arkansas baseball head coach Dave Van Horn and the 2016 Razorback baseball team. Fans are encouraged to get autographs and take pictures with members of the team. Autographs are limited to one item per person. The Razorback Diamond Dolls, RBI Girls and Ribby the Mascot will also be on hand.

Season tickets and Friday/Saturday SEC mini plans are still available as the 2016 season-opener is set for Friday, Feb. 19 against Central Michigan at Baum Stadium. First pitch is slated for 3:05 p.m.

Arkansas returns several key players from their 2015 College World Series team, including All-SEC pitcher Zach Jackson. Pitchers Dominic Taccolini, Keaton McKinney, and James Teague also return to give Arkansas one of the nation’s top pitching staffs. Arkansas also returns several position starters, including second baseman Rick Nomura, shortstop Michael Bernal, first baseman Clark Eagan, and catcher Tucker Pennell.

The 2015 squad became one of just five teams in the nation to advance to the NCAA Tournament in each of the past 14 years and one of just 10 teams to advance to three of the last seven College World Series.  Arkansas has appeared in eight College World Series, six Super Regionals and 28 NCAA Tournaments in program history.
