FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas men’s tennis team faces numerous tough opponents during the fall 2015 schedule it was announced today.

The fall schedule, meant to prepare the Razorbacks for the always challenging SEC schedule in the spring, features a solid corps of opponents including two of the top five teams from a year ago.  Also of note, the Razorbacks take on four of the top 10 teams, eight from the top 25 and 12 teams who took part in the NCAA Tournament a year ago.

The Razorbacks host one home event where fans get a chance to see the nine returning letter winners compete.  Arkansas hosts the UTSA/ITA Regional Championship at the George W. Billingsley Tennis Center Oct. 15-19.

The fall season opens with the Southern Intercollegiate Championships Sept. 11-14, in Athens, Ga. The Razorbacks will then travel to Atlanta, Ga., for a three day event at the Georgia Tech Invitational. Following the Georgia Tech Invitational, Arkansas heads to Tulsa, Okla., for the ITA All-American Tournament Oct. 3-11. From Oct. 23-26, the team will compete in the SEC Fall Events in Auburn, Ala., and Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at the FGCU Invitational in Ft. Myers, Fla. The Razorbacks will finish out the fall season in New York, N.Y., at the UTSA/ITA National Individual Indoor Nov. 12-15.

“We are eager about our schedule and upcoming season,” said Andy Jackson, who is entering is fourth season as the Razorback’s head coach. “The Southeastern Conference is always challenging and we schedule a very competitive non-conference lineup as well.  I know fans who watch us play will see the hard work pay off with significant improvements on the court.”
