Moore added to U.S. 200 roster

ATHENS, Greece – Former Lady Razorback LaShaunte’a Moore has been added to the United States track team’s 200-meter roster it was announced on Wednesday by USA Track & Field from Athens, Greece.

As a result of the ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport which upheld the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency’s two-year suspension of sprinter Torri Edwards, Moore was added to the Team USA roster. The NCAA outdoor champion at 200 meters in 2004, Moore was the fourth-place finisher at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in July to earn her spot on the 200 team.

“LaShaunte’a has been running very well all season,” Arkansas associate head coach Rolando Greene said. “She certainly earned her spot on the Olympic team by finishing fourth at the Trials. I am confident that she will represent the United States very well in her races and feel that she has a very good chance to move on.”

Fortunately for Moore, her addition does not require any additional travel as she was already with Team USA in Crete and Athens as a member of the USA’s 4×100-meter relay pool. Moore was placed on the relay as a result of her performances at the U.S. Championships by the United States coaches.
